logoThe Eastern Regional Wetland Restoration Institute is a hands-on program of instruction taught by a team of experts who want you to acquire the skills necessary for building wetlands in your community.

The training is designed for individuals that work for government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and businesses that have a strong interest in learning the latest and most effective techniques available for restoring wetlands in fields, forests, and urban areas.  Past participants have since built wetlands on National Forest lands, public and private agricultural lands, urban parks, and school grounds. The high number of instructors provides an ideal setting where participants work one-on-one with specialists to learn more about wetlands and how to build them. You’ll be outdoors each day-examining wetlands and streams altered hundreds of years ago, wading in wetlands and streams, and most importantly, you’ll actually help build two wetlands!

Individuals who have attended say the week is not unlike Wetland Boot Camp, with its long days and intense, practical instruction.  They also boast it’s the best training they’ve attended and report that it has really helped them initiate or improve a wetland and stream restoration program.
