Carol D. Hanley is the Director of Education and Communication for the Tracy Farmer Center for the Environment. Her passions include implementing environmental and science education curricula. She is a member of the boards of the Kentucky Association for Environmental Education, the Kentucky Environmental Education Council, and Project Learning Tree.

Carol previously served as Extension Specialist with the University of Kentucky and as branch manager at the Kentucky Department of Education, developing state content standards and units of study that incorporate the standards. She has served as project manager for the Kentucky Program of Studies, the Implementation Manual for the Program of Studies, and the curriculum manager for a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Grant to develop 16 units of study regarding the risk factors associated with cardiovascular health.
