Description

TFCE, the Kentucky Chapter of the Nature Conservancy, Kentucky State Nature Preserves Commission, and a private landowner are working toward the restoration of this globally unique Bluegrass savanna-woodland ecosystem with its famous Griffith Woods. Multidisciplinary projects include experimentation on effects of fire and grazing, development of a native plant nursery for pharmacological, agricultural and ecological applications, restoration of a historic tavern, archaeological and historical studies, and reconstruction of Silver Lake.
